Max Martin and Shellback, Dutch producers, are behind most of these tracks. I’m not a conspiracy theorist, but something doesn’t really add up here. You might remember that same melody (just short of exactly the same) in a song that may or may not have peaked at #20 in late 2016. Sound familiar? You’re not the only one that thinks so. Take a listen, and pay attention to the melody, bass, tempo, and the pitch she uses throughout the song. I had to add this track to a third party site because none of her tracks are available on Youtube, Soundcloud, Vimeo, Napster, etc. Since she decided to MAKE her fans buy her album either on iTunes or produce physical copies from the nearest Barnes and Noble (or wherever people flock to when buying CDs). Taylor’s 4th track on her new album titled ‘Reputation’. Just to prove that I’m not that crazy, I present the track in question, “Don’t Blame Me”. The dart happened to land in between the genre of future bass and pop. It sounds like she was blindfolded and told to throw darts at the wall, and whatever genre she hit was what she was going for with the next album. (Taylor: Picture to Burn, Flume: On Top). Are there songs from each of them that I wish didn’t exist. Do I like some of their songs more than others? Of course. I liked him before he was Flume, when he was most known as one part of What So Not. She cheated her fans into buying a Flume tribute album. Only this time she didn’t really cheat on one person, like with Calvin Harris. Hasn’t even been a week, and I’ve caught Taylor Swift cheating (surprise, surprise).
